Brandon restaurant manager Ryan Hannay has received a 2014 Outstanding Manager of the Year Award from McDonald’s Canada.
This award is one of McDonald’s Canada’s top honours and is presented to select restaurant managers across the country for consistent, outstanding performance.
Hannay was recognized as an integral member of the business due to his significant contribution to building sales, guest satisfaction, staff training and development, co-ordination of local marketing programs and local restaurant operations.
“I’m honoured to receive this award,” says Hannay, who works at the Richmond Avenue outlet. “At McDonald’s we put our guests first, and I’m thankful to be recognized for the dedication my team puts into the customer experience. I love my job at McDonald’s and I am proud to be called a manager of the year.”
Hannay began his McDonald’s career 17 years ago and has been the restaurant head manager for the past six years. During that time, he has learned many valuable on-the-job skills, including effective communication with guests and team members, as well as managing day-to-day operations.
“Ryan has always gone above and beyond to provide the highest quality of service our guests have come to recognize from McDonald’s,” said George Sheard, Brandon McDonald’s franchisee. “He has truly elevated the guest experience to new heights. Ryan is an integral part of the team here in Brandon and this award is extremely well-deserved.”
McDonald’s Canada values their people and has consistently ranked among Canada’s 50 Best Employers, placing 10th in 2014. The company provides its employees world-class training, hands-on business experience and development opportunities to help build career skills.
