Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 08/01/2015 (4129 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
Happy New Year! As we’ve just raised the curtain on another new year, I feel it best to look back at some of the best the music world had to offer in 2014 before we get too far into 2015.
So let’s kick off this fresh new year with a Happenings exclusive made possible by current and former Brandon radio personalities.
A huge thank you goes out to these fine radio folks who managed to take some time out of their busy year-end schedules to compile these Top 10 lists. The lists are made up of their favourites and/or best-of lists from the music genre that their stations serve up on the airwaves.
See if their lists match up to your top favourites from 2014 — and may your 2015 be filled with memorable music-filled moments that will turn into great stories to tell for many years to come.

Safe to say 2014 was another incredible year for country music, topped off with the return of the legendary Garth Brooks. While we wait for Garth to finally bring his world tour to Canada, we’ve been blessed with the emergence of some incredible talent north of the border with the likes of Brett Kissel, Tim Hicks, and Dallas Smith joining an already gifted group that includes Dean Brody, Gord Bamford, Terri Clark, and many more. Here’s hoping 2015 will be another incredible year for country music!
