The Western Manitoba Science Fair was held on March 14 at the Keystone Centre. The WMSF is the regional science fair for southwestern Manitoba and has been in operation since 1969. It provides an opportunity for students to showcase their scientific talent for parents, teachers, and the community. Applicants come from Grades 1 through 12, and this year there were 560 students with 405 projects from 28 schools participating in the fair. The three top students — Emily Robb from St. Augustine School and Mathieuw Blakely and Christopher Vauzelle from École La Source — will move on to the Canada-wide science fair to be held in Regina in May.
