Motorists are being told to avoid Richmond Avenue between 26th Street and 34th Street for two, maybe three days next week, as the road will be closed for paving.

A notice posted on the city’s website says that that stretch of Richmond will be shut down on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 8 a.m. and is not expected to re-open until Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 6 p.m.

And that’s with good weather.

Should weather conditions prevent completion of the work within two days, the city advises that the road will stay closed into Thursday, Sept. 30.
