LONDON, Ont. – Shane Wright is wasting no time making new friends and racking up points with the Windsor Spitfires.
The captain of Canada’s gold-medal winning team at the recent world junior hockey championship, dealt to the Spitfires from the Kingston Frontenacs after the world tourney, scored twice and added an assist as the Spitfires defeated the London Knights 4-1 in Ontario Hockey League action on Sunday.
Matthew Maggio and Brett Harrison also scored for the West Division-leading Spitfires (27-9-3-1).
Ryan Winterton scored for the Midwest Division-leading Knights (26-12-1-0).
