VANCOUVER – The Vancouver Canucks say they have placed defenceman Carson Soucy on long-term injured reserve and forward Pius Suter on injured reserve retroactively.
Soucy, 29, hasn’t played since Nov. 12 against the Montreal Canadiens when he left the game with a lower-body injury after blocking a shot.
He had been seen last week in a walking boot after a Canucks game.
Suter has been listed as day-to-day after the Canucks returned home from Montreal and held a practice at the University of British Columbia.
Head coach Rick Tocchet previously said Suter noticed something after practice leading to his absence.
The Canucks have recalled forward Nils Aman and defenceman Cole McWard from the AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks as replacements.
