GATINEAU, Que. – Olivier Houde’s goal at 15:05 of the third period snapped a 2-2 tie and lifted the Victoriaville Tigres to a 3-2 win over the Gatineau Olympiques in Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League action on Sunday at Centre Slush Puppie.
Thomas Gagnon and Samuel Vachon also scored for the Tigres (11-22-1-3), who were outshot 32-24, but got a solid 30-save performance from netminder Gabriel D’Aigle.
Jeremie Minville and Taos Jordan scored for the Olympiques (9-20-5-3), who led 1-0 after the first period but were tied 1-1 heading into the third.
The Tigres went 0-for-5 on the power play, while the Olympiques were 0-for-2.
