Vancouver FC has signed Terran Campbell, the Canadian Premier League’s all-time leading goal-scorer, to a two-year contract with an option for 2027.
The 26-year-old from Burnaby, B.C., has 39 goals in regular-season and playoff play from previous stints with Forge FC and Pacific FC and adds to a Vancouver offence that includes Mexican Alejandro Diaz.
“Terran Campbell is a champion, a winner, and the top goal-scorer of the CPL,” Vancouver coach Afshin Ghotbi said in a statement. “We are thrilled to welcome him back home, to Vancouver FC. … We are confident that his partnership with Diaz will give us the most dynamic attacking duo in the league.”
Díaz, who has 38 career CPL goals, played with Campbell at Pacific in 2020 and 2021.
Campbell played for South Burnaby Metro Club and Burnaby Selects SC before joining the Vancouver Whitecaps academy in 2011. He progressed to Whitecaps FC 2 and the USL’s Fresno FC before coming to the CPL with Pacific in the league’s inaugural 2019 season.
“It feels good to be in Vancouver, it’s the place where it all started for me,” said Campbell.
Campbell scored 25 goals across all competitions for Pacific before joining Forge after the 2021 season. He had 18 goals in all competitions for the Hamilton side but was limited to nine appearances in 2024 due to injuries.
Elsewhere, Valour FC signed Portuguese midfielder Bruno Figueiredo to a one-year contract with an option for 2026.
The 25-year-old from Lisbon is a product of Benfica’s youth academy who made 46 appearances, with five goals and two assists, between Portugal’s third-tier Liga 3 and the Taca de Portugal, an annual knockout tournament.
“Bruno adds quality to our midfield,” Valour coach and GM Phillip Dos Santos said in a statement. “I had the chance to watch him live and was impressed with his energy, combativeness and abilities on and off the ball. He’s a real box-to-box player. He was an off-season priority for us. We are happy we got it through the line.”
Figueiredo joins fellow Portuguese players Xavier Venancio and Diogo Ressurreicao on the Winnipeg club’s roster.
