REGINA – Andrew O’Neill netted the game-winning goal 2:31 into the third period as the Edmonton Oil Kings edged the Regina Pats 4-3 on Wednesday in Western Hockey League action.
Miroslav Holinka, with two goals, and Gavin Hodnett also scored for Edmonton (3-1-0). Parker Snell made 20 saves.
Keets Fawcett, Ellis Mieyette and Julien Maze replied for Regina (0-4-0). Marek Schlenker stopped 19 shots.
Holinka’s scored short-handed for his second goal of the game at 9:17 of the second period to put the Oil Kings ahead 3-1.
But the Pats rallied with Mieyette scoring just over four minutes after and Fawcett tying the game 1:37 into the third period.
