• 9 a.m. — The Wheat City Kennel Club is having its annual dog show at the Keystone Centre in the Canada Room. Shows start at around 9 a.m. each day. There will be an obedience trial and rally trial each day as well as conformation shows each of the four days. We welcome the public to come and watch and visit with the professional and experienced breeders.

• 10 a.m. — No Stone Left Alone Ceremony will take place at the Brandon Municipal Cemetery Cenotaph at 10 a.m. Students from St. Augustine’s School, Riverheights School, Western Canada Hockey Academy and École Harrison will take part in a special ceremony and will be placing poppies on every soldier’s headstone in the Fields of Honour at the Brandon cemetery. We also have approximately 30 soldiers taking part.
• 1:30 p.m. — Taoist Tai Chi meets every Thursday afternoon at Trinity United Church (1515 Sixth St.) until 3 p.m.

• 7 p.m. — Westman Gardeners are meeting at Central Community Club for a presentation on Succulents Unlimited. Take a look inside the world of international trade and innovation in plant starter materials focusing on an organization with roots in Holland, farms in Kenya and a connection right here in Brandon. Succulents Unlimited provides thousands of plant cuttings to greenhouses and nurseries throughout North America and the world on a weekly basis. Trace the journey of your favourite succulents, tropical foliage and ornamental plants from mother plants in Africa to growers in Canada and learn about some of the newest items coming to the market. Guests are welcome for a $5 fee.

• 2 p.m. — The Manitoba Archaeological Society is hosting an Artifact Identification Clinic at the Victoria Inn (3550 Victoria Ave.) from 2-4 p.m. Our team of archaeologists and experts will be on hand to help identify your finds, answer questions and share insight about their historical and cultural significance. This is a drop-in event. No appointment necessary. Everyone is welcome.
• 2 p.m. — Brandon General Museum and Archives’ Show and Tell presentation: His Geological World. Ceramicist Kevin Conlin, known for his art and fossil collecting, brings us this talk that will be unlike anything you’ve seen before. Join us at 2 p.m. for this fantastic presentation. • 10:30 a.m. — A Remembrance Day Service will be held at the Veterans Memorial corner of 11th Street and Victoria Avenue, hosted by the 26th Field Regiment RCA/XII Manitoba Dragoons Museum. The service will begin just before 11 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
• 1 p.m. — The Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum (CATPM) and the RCAF Second World War Memorial invite the public to a free open house from 1 to 4 p.m. This annual event offers a meaningful way to continue the day’s reflection in a place that honours those who served and trained through the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan and the Royal Canadian Air Force. Visitors are welcome to explore the museum’s exhibits, view historic aircraft and spend a quiet moment at the RCAF Second World War Memorial. Complimentary coffee and treats will be served. Free admission. Everyone is welcome.

• Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba (Unit 2, 710 Rosser Ave., Brandon) — Manitoba’s oldest centre for visual art and one of Canada’s first since 1907. The AGSM boasts two exhibition spaces, an art school and gift shop that supports more than 60 local Manitoba artists. • Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum (CATPM) (Brandon Municipal Airport, Highway 10, 1.6 kilometres north of Brandon) — Canada’s only air museum solely dedicated to the preservation of those who trained and fought for the British Commonwealth during the Second World War. Open seven days a week from 1 to 4 p.m. The museum will remain open until Remembrance Day (Nov. 11) with a free open house and reopen again on April 1 from 1 to 4 p.m. Our gallery has new interpretive displays explaining the Commonwealth Air Training Plan. Visitors will be invited to travel back to the 1940s while touring a Second World War-vintage hangar serving as a display for aircraft, vehicles and hundreds of artifacts from that era. RCAF members who lost their lives during the Second World War are honoured on the museum’s RCAF Second World War Memorial Wall. • Royal Canadian Artillery Museum (Building N-118 Patricia Rd., CFB Shilo) — Discover “WWII Command Posts,” a temporary exhibit at the RCA Museum, showcasing Canada’s mobile command vehicles and their role in co-ordinating artillery and communications during the Second World War. • Nov. 15 — Perogy Supper will be held at the Sandy Lake Community Hall from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Menu features perogies, kolbassa, coleslaw, baked beans, pickles, fried onions and sour cream as well as coffee and dessert. Cost is $20 for adults; children 12 and up $7 and those under 7 are free. Proceeds go to the painting of the Sandy Lake Ukrainian Catholic Church. Take out order are available.
• Nov. 15 — Souris Hillcrest Museum hobby craft sale will take place at the community hall in Souris at 9:30 a.m.
• Nov. 15 — The 10th annual A Splash of Christmas Craft and Trade Show will take place at the Tundra Oil & Gas Place in Virden from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $2, with proceeds donated to Funshine Early Learning Centre.
• Nov. 15-16 — Join us for an enchanting holiday shopping experience with Christmas Market at the Dome at the Dome Building on the Keystone Centre grounds. Two days filled with local vendors, festive treats and holiday cheer. Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $3 per person; children 5 and under are free.
• Nov. 15-16 — The Apple and Pine Christmas Market will be held in the Manitoba Room at the Keystone Centre with a showcase of talented makers bringing unique, handcrafted gifts and festive creations. Hours: Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. $10 entry fee at the door.
• Nov. 15-16 — Go Wild Holiday Market will take place at the Irvin Goodon International Wildlife Museum (298 Mountain St.) in Boissevain from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Browse a collection of handmade items from talented local artisans, crafters, home-based businesses and more. Door prizes, hot lunch and desserts as well as holiday music and baking. Door admission is $2 for adults; children free.
• Nov. 16 — The Royal Canadian Legion Brandon Branch No. 3 is hosting at Grey Cup party at 4 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person available at the bar. Open to the public. Featuring two big-screen TVs, game time snacks, halftime meal, 50/50 draw, Grey Cup score pool, plus a chance to win two Blue Bomber home game tickets for the 2026 season.
• Nov. 16 — The Music of Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and The Rings of Power — in concert at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium at 4 p.m. The musical world of hobbits and elves will be performed in a unique concert by a film orchestra, choir and star soloists. • Nov. 20 — Brandon General Museum and Archives’ Show and Tell presentation: Remembering the Prince Edward Hotel with Tony Griffin. We are proud to present an afternoon tea with Tony Griffin, former manager of the Prince Edward Hotel. We will also screen the wonderful “Tales From The Eddy” video. • Nov. 21 — Join the Westman Scottish Association for their fifth anniversary Whisky Tasting event at the Riverbank Discovery Centre. Doors open at 6 p.m. The journey across Scotland through scotch starts at 7 p.m. Snacks will be provided. Tickets are $50 each.
• Nov. 21 and 22 — The Brandon University Bobcats basketball teams host Calgary at the Healthy Living Centre (2010 Louise Ave.) Women’s game starts at 6 p.m on Nov. 21 and 5 p.m. on Nov. 22., followed by the men at 8 p.m. on Nov. 21 and 7 p.m. on Nov. 22.

• Nov. 22 — The 2025 Brandon Santa Parade will light up the streets at 6 p.m. This year’s theme is Winter Wonderland. The parade will start at Sixth Street and Rosser Avenue and travel to 17th Street, up to Princess Avenue and back to Sixth Street. Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected along the parade route to support Christmas Cheer.
• Nov. 22 — Livingstone Outdoor and Weddings by Abby are hosting the annual Drop-in Pet Photos with Santa fundraiser for the Brandon Humane Society. Minimum $20 donation with all proceeds to the BHS. There is a private entrance and room for the photos for any anxious animals.
• Nov. 22 — A Snowman Wonderland will be held at the Clarion Inn & Suites (3130 Victoria Ave.) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 50 tables to shop from, 50/50 draw, raffle prizes to be won. Silver collection at the door with proceeds going to Funds For Furry Friends.
