EDMONTON – The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward William Nicholl to a three-year entry-level contract beginning next season, the NHL club announced Wednesday.

Nicholl had 15 goals and 11 assists over 32 games with the Ontario Hockey League’s London Knights this season after returning from injury on Dec. 31. 

The 19-year-old from Ottawa has 43 goals and 62 assists in 168 regular-season games over four with the Knights.

He helped London win the Memorial Cup in last year.

The Oilers selected Nicholl in the seventh round (196th overall) of the 2024 NHL draft.

The Knights were down 3-0 in their first-round OHL playoff series against the Greyhounds heading into Wednesday’s Game 4 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
