TORONTO – The CFL announced a few fines on Thursday.

Montreal linebacker Micah Awe was handed a maximum fine for delivering a high hit on Calgary Stampeders quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. during the Alouettes’ 37-30 win last Saturday.

Edmonton offensive lineman Jordan Murray was also fined for clipping Ottawa Redblacks defensive lineman Habakkuk Baldonado in the Elks’ 40-17 win last Thursday.

Meanwhile, Baldonado was given two fines.

One was for making an inappropriate gesture towards the opposing team’s bench/fans, while the other was for headbutting Murray.

The league does not disclose the amounts of player fines.
