TORONTO – The Vancouver Rise scored three times in the opening 11 minutes to cruise to a 3-0 win over AFC Toronto on Saturday in Northern Super League action.
Anna Bout opened the scoring in just the second minute.
Jessica De Filippo then netted another in the ninth and Tori Tumeth added another in the 11th.
It was the second straight win for Vancouver (5-6-1), which sits fifth in the six-team league standings.
Meanwhile, it was the second straight loss for Toronto (4-4-3).
The hosts remained in third in the standings, one point ahead of Halifax.
