• 9 a.m. — Come on down to the Market at the Riverbank from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday until Sept. 26 under the trees, just west of the playground on the Discovery Centre grounds.
• 9 a.m. — Brandon’s Farmers’ Market will be held in The Town Centre parkade every Saturday until noon with in-season produce, baking, jams and jellies, pickles, crafts, candles and more. We will also have eggs and meat. Rain or shine, we’ve got you covered. The last market for the summer will be held Oct. 10.

Solar observing and Astronomy crafts from 1 to 4 p.m.; evening amphitheatre presentations from 7 to 8:30 p.m.; laser-guided sky tour and nighttime observing from 8:30 p.m. to midnight. • Daly House Museum (122 18th St., Brandon) — Built in 1882, original home of Brandon’s first mayor, Thomas Mayne Daly. Artifacts include a collection of late 19th-century and early 20th-century furnishings, First World War memorabilia. Daly House, in partnership with Keywest Photo Images by Design, present Between the Cold: Prairie Light for a Wheat City, a photographic exhibit that explores the spaces that define Prairie life — not the extremes, but the intervals that exist between them. The exhibit features works by Gail Barre, Douglas Fraser, Brian Milne, Rob Lovatt, Katy Martin, Ron Nordstrom, Stino Scaretta and Pat Stone and will be on display until Oct. 1. The AGSM boasts two exhibition spaces, an art school and gift shop that supports more than 70 local Manitoba artists. • Rural Arts Westman — Rural Arts Westman (RAW) public art exhibition “RE/Fenestration” has transformed the vacant storefront windows of Brandon’s Town Centre (800 Rosser Ave.) into a walk-through exhibition featuring the work of 15 regional artists. The project reimagines a public space as a place for creativity, reflection and community, inviting visitors to experience contemporary art in an unexpected setting. Exhibition runs until Nov. 28.

• Aug. 27 — Join us at the Green Spot greenhouse (1610 Byng Ave.) for a fun Cactus Garden Workshop at 6 p.m. (please arrive 15 minutes early). Included with your registration is a seven-inch planter. • Aug. 28 — The third annual Cardboard Boat Races are back in Carberry at 6 p.m. Rules: dimensions are four feet wide; only materials allowed are cardboard and duct tape; two-boater maximum; paddles made of cardboard or use arms and hands, Must wear a life-jacket. • Aug. 29-30 — Join us at Danceland in Wasagaming at Clear Lake for the new weekend of Third and Bird Clear Lake Summer Market. • Aug. 30 — The 2026 Rapid City Kids Rodeo Summer Series takes place at the Rapid City Ag Society grounds featuring barrel racing, pole-bending, flag race, goat-tying and dummy-roping at 4:30 p.m. Age groups are 5 and under; 9 and under and 14 and under.

• Aug. 31 — Brandon and Area Gone Too Soon and Substance Use Awareness is hosting a community walk in partnership with the Manitoba Harm Reduction Network at noon in Princess Park. Tables with resources will also be on site. Naloxone training, food and flag-making will be available from 6 to 7 p.m. at Coronation Park, followed by a candlelight vigil. People are also welcome to visit the Brandon Gone Too Soon Garden at the Riverbank Discovery Centre and talk to their loved ones who have passed through a wind phone.
• Sept. 4 — Downtown Cruise Night takes place in downtown Brandon on Rosser Avenue between Sixth Street and 13th Street from 6 to 9 p.m. People wishing to show their vehicles are encouraged to enter the event at the intersection of Rosser Avenue and 13th Street. All vehicles are welcome. Free to participants and spectators. Presented by Brandon & Area Car Enthusiasts (BACE), Kelleher Ford, Cal Jackson of Integral Realty and Off The Wall Signs. Note that this is the final cruise night of the season.
