ZURICH – Canada remained ninth in the latest FIFA women’s soccer world rankings released Tuesday.

The Canadians held their position despite a 4-3 loss to Denmark on Oct. 12 in Toronto and a 1-1 draw with the Danes three days earlier in Montreal.

Canada has yet to record a victory against a top-15 opponent since Casey Stoney took over as head coach in January 2025.

Denmark climbed two spots to 10th, returning to the top 10 for the first time since August 2010.

Spain strengthened its hold on the No. 1 ranking after a win and a draw against the second-ranked United States, while Germany remained third.

Canada returns to action Nov. 28 against Panama in the CONCACAF W Championship, which serves as a qualifier for the 2027 World Cup and 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
