TORONTO – Forge FC’s Dimitry Bertaud, Cavalry FC’s Nathan Ingham and Atlético Ottawa’s Christopher Kalongo are the three nominees for the Canadian Premier League’s Golden Glove award.
The CPL will announce the winner of the award recognizing the top goalkeeper on Nov. 19.
Bertaud had 10 clean sheets in 23 starts, posting a league-best clean-sheet rate of 43 per cent.
The 28-year-old also led all goalkeepers with a 93.3 per cent save rate on shots from outside the box, while ranking second in both overall save percentage (72.1 per cent) and save percentage on shots from inside the box (65.2 per cent).
Ingham led the league with 11 clean sheets and 27 starts while posting the highest overall save percentage (72.5 per cent) among CPL goalkeepers.
Kalongo, 24, recorded 58 saves, just one fewer than Ingham despite making nine fewer starts and ranked third among goalkeepers with a 62.7 per cent save rate on shots from inside the box.
