Hey there, time traveller!

Mark Kerkowich was recognized for his tireless efforts during the 2020 and 2021 golf seasons on Thursday, being named Manitoba Golf Superintendents Association superintendent of the year for 2021.
Kerkowich, who has been at Neepawa Golf and Country Club since 2016, had a near worst-case scenario in 2020 when the 18-hole course experienced a massive flood. It left a six-inch layer of silt and sludge on a significant portion of the course.
Kerkowich and his crew turned it around and had it ready to host the 2021 provincial men’s amateur championship with terrific playing conditions.
“His dedication and commitment to his craft is unwavering, which makes him a clear choice for the MGSA Superintendent of the Year,” Jordan Joye, MGSA board member and Glen Lea superintendent, said in a release.
