CHONBURI, Thailand (AP) — World No. 1-ranked Jeeno Thitikul shot a 9-under 63 Friday that moved her into second place at her home LPGA Thailand tournament on the Siam Country Club Old Course.

Thitikul trails second-rounder leader Somi Lee by three strokes after Lee shot a 61, including an eagle 2 from the fairway on the 15th hole. The South Korean player had a two-round total of 17-under 127.

Japan’s Chizzy Iwai shot a bogey-free 62 that moved her into a tie for third place with New Zealander Lydia Ko (64), four off the lead.

Canadian Brooke Henderson had a 68 and was at 5-under, 12 strokes behind Lee. Defending champion Angel Yin had a 75 and was at even par.

Rory McIlroy handles the rain and then wind to share clubhouse lead at Riviera

Doug Ferguson, The Associated Press 5 minute read Yesterday at 11:20 PM CST

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Rory McIlroy would have preferred playing in the rain compared with the wind that followed Thursday at Riviera. He handled both well enough for a 5-under 66 to share the clubhouse lead with Jacob Bridgeman in the Genesis Invitational.

Scottie Scheffler couldn't get off the course fast enough. He was tied for last in the 72-man field, without a birdie through 10 holes when play was suspended by darkness.

The rain that formed puddles on the already soft greens led to a three-hour stoppage. Players returned to far more difficult conditions with a wind that was strong and cold, and putting surfaces with a rare combination of being super soft and super quick.

McIlroy opened with three birdies in four holes. He saved par on the par-3 sixth by chipping over the bunker in the middle of the green. He dropped only one shot to join Bridgeman, who contended last week at Pebble Beach and played his best in the strongest conditions.

CHONBURI, Thailand (AP) — Nasa Hataoka shot a 7-under 65 Thursday on the Siam Country Club Old Course and was tied for the lead after the opening round at the LPGA Thailand, the first of three tournaments in Asia in consecutive weeks.

Hataoka, who was runner-up at the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open, has won five individual LPGA tournaments and two in the International Crown team event.

She was tied Thursday with Thailand's Chanettee Wannasaen. Gemma Dryburgh, who opened her round with an eagle and three birdies, was a stroke behind with a 66 and level with Somi Lee and Hye-Jin Choi.

“I think my tee shots and iron shots were pretty good today, and that’s why I was able to create so many birdie chances,” said the 27-year-old Hatoaka.

Morikawa birdies 18th to win Pebble Beach, ends more than 2-year drought

Doug Ferguson, The Associated Press 5 minute read Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Collin Morikawa had gone 28 months since his last win, and he was reminded Sunday at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-am why it's never easy.

He was among six players who had a share of the lead at one point in a wild and windy final round, one name getting everyone's attention — Scottie Scheffler — who nearly pulled off the biggest comeback in the tournament's history.

Tougher still was standing in the fairway on the par-5 18th, the cold Pacific air ripping off the ocean to his left, and having to wait some 20 minutes as Jacob Bridgeman had to figure out how to play off the beach only for his shot to go into the ocean.

He said he walked down to the ocean and back about 10 times.

Anthony Kim wins LIV Golf Adelaide in a remarkable career comeback

The Associated Press 5 minute read Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026

ADELAIDE, Australia (AP) — Anthony Kim walked out of a PGA Tour scoring trailer at Quail Hollow and straight to the parking lot on May 4, 2012. He put his clubs in the trunk and drove away, vanishing from golf and from the public view for 12 years.

Kim was all the way back Sunday in Australia, full of swagger and energy, as he capped off a stunning rally — not just in the final round of LIV Golf Adelaide but in life. Five shots behind Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau, he closed with a 9-under 63 for his first win in nearly 16 years.

He put on an electric show with leg-kicking, fist-throwing reactions for his four straight birdies before LIV's largest and loudest gallery of the season.

“I'm too old to be reacting like that because I think I pulled something in my hip,” the 40-year-old Kim said to laughter. “But I will say that was all the lows I went through in my life that I got to dig out of. Every putt that went I felt the struggle and I was overcoming it. It was therapeutic out there to fight through it and come out on top.”

Bhatia’s big birdie runs helps him combat the wind and lead at Pebble Beach

Doug Ferguson, The Associated Press 5 minute read Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Akshay Bhatia played Pebble Beach by the book in accommodating weather with such a blistering start that he threatened to run away with the tournament by building a five-shot lead at the turn.

But then a cool day turned into a cold one, more spectators holding coffee cups than beer cans. One of the prettiest coastal courses on Earth showed a nasty side Saturday in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, and Bhatia did all he could to get across the finish line with a 4-under 68 and a two-shot lead.

“All in all, yeah, weird day,” Bhatia said. “Felt like I lost some ground toward the end, but then I realized it just played so much harder for some of the guys that were in some of the last tee times.”

And the worst might be yet to come.

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Far removed from the false hopes Taylor Swift would make an appearance at Pebble Beach, Akshay Bhatia and Ryo Hisatsune went about their business quietly at Spyglass Hill and wound up with a share of the lead Friday in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-am.

Bhatia was bogey-free over two days at Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill, both dry days with a mild breeze and soft greens that allowed for good scoring on both courses. He had six birdies and chipped in from 50 feet for eagle on the 14th hole on his way to a 64.

Hisatsune, who opened with a 62 at Pebble Beach, stumbled in the middle of his round with consecutive bogeys, which he offset with enough birdies (and one eagle) before and after for a 67.

They were at 15-under 129, the lowest 36-hole since the tournament moved to a two-course rotation in 2024 as a signature event.

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Chris Gotterup extended his streak to nine straight birdies over two rounds on two very different courses. He ultimately settled for an 8-under 64 on Thursday in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, leaving him two behind Ryo Hisatsune on a day of gorgeous weather and low scores for practically everyone.

Scottie Scheffler was the exception. He had to birdie the par-5 18th at Pebble Beach to avoid joining the short list — 12 players — who failed to break par.

“I feel like typically I'm good at scoring, and today I felt like I didn't score at all,” Scheffler said. “Anything that kind of went wrong seemed to be going that direction. I actually feel like I'm playing pretty well. Just one of those days.”

Hisatsune, coming off two good weeks including a runner-up at Torrey Pines to qualify for this $20 million signature event, had three straight birdies early in his round, made the only birdie on the par-4 ninth and finished with three straight for a 62 at Pebble Beach.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Chris Gotterup did his part, charging up the Phoenix Open leaderboard with a closing flourish of five birdies in six holes.

As he kept loose on the first tee at TPC Scottsdale, the 26-year-old knew he would need some help with Hideki Matsuyama still on the course with a one-shot lead.

Gotterup got what he needed with a wild tee shot by Matsuyama on 18 and took advantage when the Japanese star did it again in the playoff.

Gotterup shot 7-under 64 and won with a long birdie putt on the first hole of a playoff Sunday after Matsuyama pulled his tee shot into the water.

SCOTTSDALE, Arizz. (AP) — Ryo Hisatsune turned a water ball into a birdie to electrify the juiced up crowds at the Phoenix Open.

Scottie Scheffler did what he needed to make yet another cut by turning in the kind of round expected by the world’s No. 1 player.

Hisatsune chipped in for birdie after driving his ball in the water on the par-4 17th hole and shot a bogey-free 8-under 63 on Friday to surge into the lead in the second round of Phoenix Open.

“It was very lucky,” Hisatsune said through an interpreter. “A nice tee shot, but I kind of a pulled it little bit into the water. Some more reset and make it, (so) going to be more fun.”

SAN DIEGO (AP) — No one else had a chance to beat Justin Rose at Torrey Pines on Sunday, and so his final challenge was to take on Tiger Woods.

Rose won that battle, too.

In what Rose felt was his most complete tee-to-green performance, he sailed to a 2-under 70 for a seven-shot victory in the Farmers Insurance Open, breaking the 72-hole tournament record last set by Woods in 1999.

“Sorry, T-dub, if you’re watching,” Rose said in his CBS interview on the 18th green.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Nelly Korda won for the first time in 14 months without having to hit a shot Sunday when the LPGA Tour reduced the season-opening Tournament of Champions to 54 holes because of wind and cold that led officials to deem Lake Nona unsuitable for a final round.

Korda won seven times in 2024 and was shut out in 2025. Now the American is a winner again with a most awkward start to the LPGA season.

She won with an 8-under 64 on Saturday, an astonishing round that was roughly nine shots better than the field average in bitter cold and gusts that approached 40 mph. Korda said it was among the best three rounds she ever played.

She finished just before the LPGA halted the third round when wind blew Youmin Hwang's golf ball off the 17th green. The concern was because the final two holes were the most exposed on the course.

Justin Rose delivers a Tiger-like performance at Torrey Pines. He leads by 6 shots

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Joel Dahmen arrived to the PGA Tour too late to see Tiger Woods in his prime at Torrey Pines. He was witness to what might have been the next best thing Saturday — Justin Rose in control of his game and making the rest of the field feel hopeless in the Farmers Insurance Open.

Rose stretched his lead to as many as eight shots in a performance Woods could appreciate. He was slowed by a few mistakes on the back nine and wound up with a 4-under 68 to lead by six, the largest 54-hole lead at the tournament since Woods led by eight in 2008.

“I’ve enjoyed playing the golf course this week. I want to continue to enjoy the week as a whole,” Rose said. “And yeah, it’s another great round in good weather on an awesome golf course.”

Rose started with a four-shot lead and pulled away with a sublime three-hole stretch of birdies on the front nine — a pitching wedge to a back pin to 6 feet on No. 5, a 7-wood to pin-high on the par-5 sixth and a 9-iron over a tree to 5 feet with the pin tucked right over a bunker.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Nelly Korda played her best golf in the worst of the conditions Saturday with an 8-under 64 in the frigid, blustery conditions that eventually led to play being suspended for the day in the season-opening Tournament of Champions.

Korda had the best score of the week at Lake Nona, where the temperatures felt like they were in the 40s with a steady 20 mph wind and gusts nearly twice that strong.

Going after her first win since November 2024, Korda was at 13-under 203, six shots ahead of Brooke Henderson among those who finished. Henderson, from Smiths Falls, Ont., shot 66 and moved up 14 spots to fifth.

Amy Yang was at 10 under with two holes to play, including the par-3 17th, one of the most exposed holes on the golf course. Lydia Ko fell back with a double bogey and bogey on consecutive holes on the back nine. She was at 8 under through 16 holes.

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Justin Rose had birdie chances on all but one hole Thursday and turned that into a 10-under 62 on the easier North course at Torrey Pines, giving him a one-shot lead in the Farmers Insurance Open on a day that marked the return of Brooks Koepka from LIV Golf.

Koepka garnered so much of the attention under the brilliant sunshine along the Pacific Coast, the first PGA Tour member to leave for the Saudi-funded rival league only to get out of his contract with one year left and be allowed to return.

Koepka didn't make a birdie until his final hole on the tougher South course for a 1-over 73 and was happy to get that first round behind him.

“From the first tee on, it was great. It actually made me settle down a little bit,” Koepka said. “Like I said, it made me feel good just to be out here.”

Thitikul is coming off not just her best season but one of the best in LGPA history.

She won the the Tour Championship in November for her third win of the year, finished second at The Evian Championship and fourth at the Women's PGA Championship, and the Thai star ended up with the lowest scoring averaging in the tour’s 75-year history.
