Jackson Delaurier scored a pair of wins as the Westman Junior Golf Tour resumed at Glen Lea Golf Course on Tuesday.
The 13-year-old from Dauphin tied Luke Myhre with an 8-over 78 to win the 14-and-under division, while stepping up to the 18U match play event and edging Brandon’s Spence Mott 1 up. Jaxon Jacobson was third in 14U, one shot back with a 79.
In the other matches, Zos Giordani-Gross crushed Ty Kirk 8 up, Foster Couvier beat Bryce Bryant 4 up, Dru Mushumanski topped Foxx McColl 3 up and Hayden Delaloye and Mack Sanderson battled to a dead heat.
In 12U action, Dauphin’s Hayden Shtykalo fired 85 to earn a two-shot victory over Sandy Lake’s Carson Craig. Hunter Oakden finished third with a 102.
The WJGT’s two-player scramble originally scheduled for Minnedosa last week but pushed back due to flooding is set for Thursday at Oak Island
Regular events resume next Tuesday at Shilo, with one more week to set up the 18U match play quarterfinal bracket, which is played out in the final three weeks.
The 14U and 12U events award 10 points for first place and eight for second, decreasing by one point each place below. The season winner is determined by each player’s top four events plus the final event, Aug. 11 at Oak Island.
