SURREY, B.C. – B.C. Lions coach Rick Campbell says he wants to start quarterback Nathan Rourke for the team’s final four games of the regular season.

Campbell’s comments come after he pulled the Canadian from B.C.’s 33-17 loss to the Toronto Argonauts on Sept. 13.

Rourke connected on six-of-12 passing attempts, throwing for 110 yards and rushing in a touchdown in his fifth game for the Lions (7-7) since returning to the CFL last month.

He was replaced by Vernon Adams Jr., who had 75 passing yards and an interception in his first appearance since suffering a knee injury on Aug. 1.

Campbell says having two good quarterbacks who can play is a good problem for the Lions to have and that both players want to do what’s best for the team.

B.C. will return to play Friday when they host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (5-9).
