HONOLULU – Nick Taylor of Abbotsford, B.C., sunk a three-foot putt on the second playoff hole to win the Sony Open in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sunday.
Taylor, who won the 2023 Canadian Open in a four-hole playoff at the Oakdale Golf and Country Club, tied Nico Echavarria of Medellin, Columbia at 16-under to force Sunday’s playoff. Taylor eagled the 18th hole to put himself into the playoff.
Taylor and Echavarria exchanged birdies on the first playoff hole, but Taylor birdied the second hole and Echavarria settled for par.
More coming.
