VAL-D’OR – Matt Gosselin scored five goals and assisted on two others as the visiting Blainville-Boisbriand Armada blitzed the Val-d’Or Foreurs 7-0 in Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League action on Saturday.

Olivier Lemieux and Olivier Metcalfe also scored for the Armada, who led 1-0 after the first period and took a 4-0 lead into the third.

Vincent Dejardins had four assists and Zackary Plamondon chipped in with a pair.

Olivier Bacon stopped 26 shots to record the shutout. The Armada outshot the Foreurs 38-26.

OCEANIC 3 DRAKKAR 2

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Zack Arsenault had a goal and assist as the Rimouski Oceanic edged the visiting Baie-Comeau Drakkar 3-2.

Evan Depatie and Mathys Dube also scored for the hosts, who outshot the Drakkar 37-22.

Evan Bellamy and Gleb Semenov scored for the Drakkar, while Louis-Charles Plourde had two assists.

The Oceanic led 1-0 after the first period and 3-0 heading into the third.

HUSKIES 3 OLYMPIQUES 2

ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. — Samuel Rheault scored a power-play goal at 5:13 of the third period to lift the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies to a 3-2 victory over the visiting Gatineau Olympiques 3-2.

William Vezina and Thomas Verdon also scored for the Huskies, who outshot the visitors 28-15.

Nicholas Petrut had a goal and assist for the Olympiques, while Maxim Dube added a single.

The Huskies led 1-0 after the first period and 2-1 heading into the third.

PHOENIX 6 TIGRES 4

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Samuel Rochon and Felix Ouellet each scored twice and the Sherbrooke Phoenix rallied in the third period to beat the visiting Victoriaville Tigres 6-4.

Loic Pirier and Chad Bellemare also scored for the Phoenix, who outshot the Tigres 31-25.

Loik Gariepy, Alexey Vlasov, Maxime Lambert and Enzo Lottin scored for the Tigres, who led 3-2 after the first period and 4-3 heading into the third. Captain Simon-Pier Brunet chipped in with three assists.

EAGLES 6 SEA DOGS 3

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Eliot Litalien had two goals and two assists and Samuel Boyer added a pair of goals as the visiting Cape Breton Eagles beat the Saint John Sea Dogs 5-3.

Romain Litalien chipped in with a goal and two assists for the Eagles, while Xavier Daigle netted a single.

Elliot Dube scored twice for the Sea Dogs, while Matthew Krayer added a single.

The Eagles outshot the Sea Dogs 38-36 and went 1-for-4 on the power play. The Sea Dogs were 0-for-3 on the power play.

MOOSEHEADS 5 ISLANDERS 4 (SO)

HALIFAX, N.S. — Quinn Kennedy and Jasu Mensonen scored in the shootout to lift the Halifax Mooseheads to a 5-4 victory over the visiting Charlottetown Islanders.

William Bent, Shawn Carrier, Mensonen and Kennedy scored in regulation time for the Mooseheads, who outshot the visitors 41-26, despite being outshot 6-0 in the five-minute overtime period.

Anthony Flanagan scored twice for the Islanders, with Jude Herron and Nathan Leek netting singles.

The teams were tied 2-2 after the first period and the Mooseheads took a 3-2 lead into the third.

Both teams went 1-for-7 on the power play.
