Ben Bowtell, Tyler Parr and Dustin Willhoft (empty-netter) also scored for the Blades (5-2-0-0), who led 2-0 after the first period and 4-1 heading into the third. Hunter Laing chipped in with two assists.

Blake Chorney scored for the Giants (2-4-0-0), who were outshot 39-16 and went 0-for-3 on the power play. The Blades went 1-for-5 with the man advantage.

RED DEER, Alta. — Logan Wormald had a goal and assist and the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes edged the Red Deer Rebels 3-2.

Kade Duell and Tyden Lafournaise also scored for the Hurricanes (2-5-0-0), who led 2-0 after the first period and 2-1 heading into the third.

Matus Lisy and Ty Coupland scored for the Rebels (1-5-0-0), who outshot the Hurricanes 31-27.

The Hurricanes went 1-for-5 on the power play, while the Rebels were 0-for-3 with the man advantage.

BRONCOS 4 WARRIORS 3 (OT)

MOOSE JAW, Sask. — Hudson Darby scored at 2:52 of overtime to lift the visiting Swift Current Broncos to a 4-3 decision over the Moose Jaw Warriors.

Anthony Wilson, Zach Pantelakis and Noah Kosick also scored for the Broncos (4-2-0-0), who outshot the hosts 41-37, including 5-3 in overtime.

Nolan Paquette, Pavel McKenzie and Connor Schmidt scored for the Warriors (3-2-1-0), who trailed 3-2 heading into the third period.

The Broncos went 1-for-3 on the power play, while the Warriors went 0-for-1.
