SARNIA – Easton Walos had two goals and two assists, Jordan Bax added two goals and an assist and the Sarnia Sting held off the Owen Sound Attack 6-4 on Wednesday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Beckham Edwards and Matthew Manza also scored for Sarnia (5-8-3), which led 5-1 a couple minutes past the midway mark of the second period. Evan Maillet made 21 saves.
Pierce Mbuyi, Wesley Royston, Cole Zurawski and Nicholas Sykora contributed goals for Owen Sound (12-6-0-1). Trenten Bennett gave up three goals on eight shots in the first 8:41 before Carter George stopped 20 of 23 shots in relief the rest of the way.
The Sting went 3 for 4 on the power play, while the Attack converted one of their four chances on the man advantage.

GUELPH, Ont. — Christopher Soares and Charlie Paquette each scored two goals as the Guelph Storm pushed past the London Knights 6-4.
Quinn Beauchesne and Parker Snelgrove added the others for Guelph (8-6-2).
Sam O’Reilly, Henry Brzustewicz, Braidy Wassilyn and Max Crete replied for London (9-4-3).

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Christopher Thibodeau scored the eventual winner as the Flint Firebirds defeated the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 3-2.
Thibodeau’s goal at 8:09 of the third put Flint (9-6-1) ahead 3-1 just a few minutes after Josh Colosimo put the Firebirds ahead 2-1. Nathan Aspinall also scored for the visitors.
Chase Reid scored with 3:15 remaining in the contest for Sault Ste. Marie (11-7-1), with Quinn McKenzie putting the Greyhounds on the board at 7:23 of the second to tie it at 1-1.
