WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed star running back Brady Oliveira to a three-year contract extension, the CFL club announced Monday.
He was set to become a free agent in February.
Oliveira, a 28-year-old from Winnipeg, rushed for 1,163 yards and three touchdowns in 2025 and set career highs in receiving with 61 receptions for 546 yards.
He was named the CFL’s outstanding player in 2024 when he ran for 1,353 yards, earning a second straight league rushing title. He ran in three touchdowns and added another through the air.
He had career highs in 2023 with 13 touchdowns (nine rushing, four receiving) and 1,534 rushing yards.
Oliveira was named top Canadian and was an All-CFL selection in 2023 and 2024.
Oliveira was selected by the Blue Bombers in the second round, 14th overall, in the 2019 CFL draft out of North Dakota.
He has since suited up for 83 games for the club, scoring 27 touchdowns and helping the team win Grey Cup titles in 2019 and 2021.
Oliveira was scheduled to speak at a media conference Tuesday.
