NASHVILLE – Nashville SC scored twice in the first half and kept Atletico Ottawa out of scoring range en route to a 5-0 victory in the second leg of their first-round CONCACAF Champions Cup matchup on Tuesday.
Alex Muyl, Jordan Knight, Woobens Pacius, Jack Maher and Ahmed Qasem scored for the Major League Soccer squad, which advances to play MLS Cup champion Inter Miami in the second round. Nashville won the opening game 2-0 in Ottawa last week.
Nashville outshot the Canadian Premier League visitors 12-4 (8-1 on target), had more corners (4-1) and fouls (14-11).
Ottawa had the ball 55 per cent of the time, but were unable to generate much offence in the two-game series.
