LAVAL – Evelyn Badu scored a hat trick as Montreal Roses FC thumped Vancouver Rise FC 5-1 on Saturday in the Northern Super League.
The Ghanaian midfielder scored in the 19th, 68th and 84th minutes as Montreal (5-2-3) snapped a four-game winless streak.
Elyse Bennett and Tanya Boychuk added goals in the 54th and 71st minutes at Stade Boréale.
Jessica De Filippo scored the lone goal for Vancouver (3-6-1) in the 43rd minute to tie the game before the one-sided second half.
Montreal dominated the shot attempts 21-8 (9-4 on target) and held 54 per cent possession in the match.
Next up, Vancouver visits Calgary Wild FC on July 11 and Montreal hosts Halifax Tides FC on July 12.
