Suniev’s goal, his third of the season, was his first career power-play goal. Farabee beat Jesper Wallstedt on a rebound for his first goal of the campaign.

Wallstedt made 20 saves.

The Wild, who took three minor penalties in the first 14 minutes of the game, halved the deficit at 4:39 of the third period.

The Flames were without captain Mikael Backlund, who’s listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Former Wild centre Ben Jones made his season debut for Calgary.
