ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Filip Hronek scored a power-play goal with 11 seconds left in overtime to cap a run of four consecutive goals by the Vancouver Canucks, who snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 6-5 comeback effort against the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night.
The Canucks, who won for just the third time this season, trailed 5-2 after Anaheim’s A.J. Greer scored his second goal of the game with 7:37 to play in regulation.
But Jamie Oleksiak pulled Vancouver within 5-3 just 31 seconds later.
Jonathan Lekkerimaki then scored twice less than a minute apart — the second with 1:57 left in regulation — to send the game into overtime.
In addition to his winning goal, Hronek also had an assist. Liam Ohgren and Brock Boeser also had goals for Vancouver, while Elias Pettersson added a pair of assists. Leevi Merilainen made 18 saves.
The Ducks jumped to a 4-1 lead after two periods. Greer scored in the first period, then Jeff Malott, Beckett Sennecke and Leo Carlsson added second-period goals. Sennecke’s goal came on the power play.
Jackson LaCombe had three assists for the Ducks and Lukas Dostal made 27 saves.
