MONT-SAINTE-ANNE, QUE. – Canadian Eliot Grondin clinched a second straight overall snowboard cross title by finishing second in a World Cup event Saturday.
Grondin, 23, of Sainte-Marie, Que., needed to be in the top-three to clinch the title. He did so by finishing just behind winner Jakob Dusek of Austria while American Nathan Pare was third.
It marks the second straight year that Grondin clinched the overall title. And just over a week ago he captured gold at the world championship event in Switzerland.

Grondin has claimed two gold medals, three silver and a bronze in World Cup events this season.
France’s Lea Casta won the women’s event. Canada’s Tess Critchlow finished fifth.
