SHANGHAI – Paige Crozon scored nine points as the Canadian women’s 3×3 basketball team defeated Azerbaijan 21-12 to win its third FIBA Women’s Series title Sunday.
Cassandra Brown added six points and the game-winner for Canada, while Katherine Plouffe had three points and five rebounds.
Saicha Grant-Allen scored three points and grabbed two rebounds.

Grant-Allen, who scored 25 points during Canada’s run, was named MVP in Shanghai.
Canada defeated Spain 21-11 in the semifinals earlier Sunday after posting a 2-1 record in pool play.
The Canadian women, who finished fourth at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, also won FIBA titles in 2022 and 2023.
