TORONTO – Groupe CH executives Geoff Molson and France Margaret Belanger are joining the Toronto Tempo’s ownership group.

The WNBA team also says it will have two of its regular-season games in Montreal in its inaugural 2026 campaign.

The Molson family owns Groupe CH, whose primary business is the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens

Geoff Molson is Groupe CH’s president and chief executive officer while Belanger is its president of sports and entertainment.

Larry Tanenbaum’s Kilmer Group is the majority stakeholder in the Tempo.

When Toronto was awarded a WNBA franchise in May 2024 team president Teresa Resch said it was her intention to have it be Canada’s team with games across the country.
