Why wouldn’t there be a celebration for something so amazing as family? It is not always about blood ties, but about who in your circle that you consider to be “family.”
So Child and Family Services of Western Manitoba, together with the Brandon Healthy Families team, celebrated the fifth annual celebration of National Family Week at Princess Park on Oct. 5.
The Brandon Healthy Families team includes, but is not limited to, the City Of Brandon, 94.7 Star FM, the Brandon Friendship Centre, Prairie Mountain Health, Safe Communities, the Manitoba Métis Federation and periodontist Dr. Trudy Corbett.
It was a full day of free fun, including main stage entertainment with the Dave and Louie ventriloquist show and Christina the Crazy Hooper and her dazzling hula-hoop show.Other highlights included skateboard demonstrations at Kristopher Campbell Memorial Skateboard Plaza, face painting, community displays and much more.
