MONTREAL – Marie-Philip Poulin and Laura Stacey each had a goal and an assist as the Montreal Victoire closed out the PWHL pre-season with a 3-2 win over the Boston Fleet on Monday.
Claire Vekich also scored for Montreal, which defeated Boston 3-2 in overtime on Saturday in their initial pre-season matchup at Verdun Auditorium.
Ann-Renée Desbiens made 21 saves in two periods of play in the win, while Sandra Abstreiter stopped seven of the eight shots she faced in relief.
Hannah Brandt opened the scoring at 2:21 of the second period, with Riley Brengman cutting into Montreal’s 3-1 lead with 47 seconds left in the contest for Boston. Amanda Thiele made 25 saves.
Montreal went for 1 for 6 on the power play thanks to Stacey’s goal, while Boston went 0 for 3.
The Victoire will visit the Fleet for the regular-season opener for both teams on Sunday.
